Workshop on Critical Narrative Inquiry

In november 2011, the research group in Sustainable Leadership will host a workshop where we will experiment with and explore methods for using narrative and storytelling in regard to doing research in organizations and in regard to leadership and organizational development. Our outset for the workshop is to explore different practical problems in order to scrutinize and discuss the use of narrative and storytelling methods in organizational analysis and intervention.

The workshop is part of the project Material Story Lab at Aalborg University, which is experimenting with research, teaching and development practices that integrate body, materiality and space in a new 3D version of the problem-based learning approach used at Aalborg University. Elements of this will be used as the learning platform for the workshop event. The workshop will thereby also seek to develop an alternative format to more traditional research seminars of paper presentations.

Please find attached our invitation for the first SEgroup November Lectures in Berlin on November 29th- 30th 2012.

To register for the lectures please send us an e-mail (events@segroup.de), providing your full name, title, position and institution. If there are any aspects of critical narrative inquiry that you are particularly interested in, we welcome your suggestions for further discussion prior to the conference.

Attendance of the lectures will require a deposit of 50 Euros per person. This covers your attendance for the entire conference. Please note that it does not cover accommodation. The deposit should be wired to the bank account at the bottom of the invitation to secure your registration.

The exact location of the lecture will be anounced in due time. We will also arrange for a limited number of hotel rooms. If you would like to make a reservation (prices will be approx. 85-100€ per night/per person) please let uns know.
